Don't Stop Believing Elaine Tavolacci

There is a story in the book of 2 Chronicles chapter 20 about the King of Judah named King Jehoshaphat. He received a report that the Moabites, the Ammorites and the Meunites had joined forces to attack and wage war against him. Jehoshaphat was shaken. As he and the people of Judah and Jerusalem came before the Lord, he said to the Lord, "Power and might are in your hand, and no one can withstand you."

He reminded the Lord how He drove out the inhabitants of the land before his people Israel. He said; "We will stand in your presence before this temple that bears your name and will cry out to you in our distress, and you will hear us and save us." He went on to say "For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You."

The Holy Spirit is showing me that many of you are in deep distress over what is happening around you. Fear has gripped your hearts and you are focusing on this demonic intrusion rather than focusing on Jesus. Although you believe in your heart that the Lord is able to eradicate this virus and turn this nation around, you are crying out in the same way that King Jehoshaphat did saying that you don't know what to do.

In the natural it appears that this pandemic is out of control and all hell is breaking loose in our personal lives as well as our country. We have seen tornados devouring everything in their path, and catastrophes like we've haven't experienced before. But through it all,

fear not. Every battle has an expiration date. In the end, some of our greatest battles will become our greatest victories, and everything that the Lord promised will come to pass.

King Jehoshaphat knew that he was not able to win this battle in his own strength as this vast army was coming to annihilate them, so he inquired of the Lord through prayer. The Spirit of the Lord came upon Jahaziel and he prophesied; "This is what the Lord says : 'Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s. He went on to say: You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem.

Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.'" The next morning Jehoshaphat said to the people: Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper. "He then appointed men to sing to the Lord and to praise Him for the splendor of His holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: Give thanks to the Lord, for His love endures forever.

As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against their enemies. They turned against one another, and every one of them were killed. When Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away their spoil, they found an abundance of valuables on the dead bodies. They stripped off for themselves the precious jewelry, more than they could carry away; and they were there three days gathering the spoil. The fear of God fell on all the kingdoms of those countries when they heard that the Lord had fought against the enemies of Israel.

The Lord says; Do not be afraid. Though there is a great shaking, everything that I promised will come to pass. The powers of darkness will not overtake you, and the gates of hell will not prevail against you. As you trust in Me, and call upon Jesus, you will come out victorious on every side. Peace will be restored in your heart and mind, and you will recover the territory that has been stolen from you.

Keep on your full armor, and lift up your voice in prayer and praise. Decree and declare My word, and pray in the Spirit at all times. I am the God of creation and I will re-create that which has been destroyed. I am the God of restoration and I will restore everything that has been stolen. As you take up your petitions and stand firm, you will also experience My victory and deliverance, says the Lord.

Psalms 3:5-6 (TPT)

So now I’ll lie down and sleep like a baby—then I’ll awake in safety, for you surround me with your glory. Even though ten thousand dark powers prowl around me, I won’t be afraid.

Psalm 27:2-3 (TPT)

When evil ones come to destroy me, they will be the ones who turn back. My heart will not fear even if an army rises to attack. I will not be shaken, even if war is imminent.

2 Chronicles 20:27

Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, with Jehoshaphat in front of them, to go back to Jerusalem with joy, for the Lord had made them rejoice over their enemies.
