For many people life has been very difficult the past few years. It may feel as if things have been stacking up against you. It may seem that the opposition is mounting. But I am a witness today to the fact that God is setting things up in your favor. He is making you a sacrifice and he intends to set you on fire! God Answers by Fire!
1 Kings 18:24 (KJV)
And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken.
There is a God in your house who answers by fire! In the middle of your difficulties and challenges God want you to know that he is setting you up to be a sacrifice so that his fire can fall on you. This is to make you a sign of his power and glory in manifestation. God Answers by Fire!
Fire falls on sacrifice. So let your pain, your hardship, your difficulty, your challenge, your opposition, everything that the enemy has engineered against you; let it be, a sacrifice unto your God. Worship God in the midst of your sacrifice with fervent intensity and passion. Worship and give him honor because fire falls on sacrifice. God Answers by Fire!
In first Kings 18:36, Elisha challenge the prophets of Baal. He told them to build their altar and to see what their God would do. But it was a set up. He knew their god was powerless. And so God allowed Elijah to create a situation so that the false prophet could be revealed and the powerlessness of their God could be exposed. God Answers by Fire!
That’s what he is doing for you and I. He is allowing us to go to circumstances to prepare us as sacrifices unto our God. Not to destroy us but to reveal his power and glory in the earth. His fire will fall on the sacrifice of your worship. It will consume everything the enemy is setting up against you. And the glory of God shall be revealed and all the people will know that there is a God IN YOUR HOUSE who answers by FIRE!
¶ And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.
37 Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and thatthou hast turned their heart back again.
38 ¶ Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
39 And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God!
